Description

Tillandsia is a member of the bromeliad family and can be found in a wide variety of environments. Tillandsias do not grow in soil but instead have roots that attach themselves to trees or other surfaces. This is why they are commonly referred to as  “Airplants”. Tillandsias absorb all their water and nutrients through their leaves and need to be kept from dehydrating and drying out. Signs of dehydration are curling of leaves. In a humid environment water your Tillandsia weekly by misting heavily. In drier environments Tillandsias may need to be watered daily. Soak Tillandsias weekly for 2 hours in reverse osmosis or distilled water making sure they will be dry within 4 hours. Keep Tillandsias in bright, indirect light at normal household temperatures. Fertilize Tillandisas once a month with a maintenance dose of fertilizer or 1/4 t. of fertilizer per gallon of water.

Plants sized 4-6″ depending on type.
