Quail are BACK!

We’re happy to announce that the FULL size range of QUAIL and QUAIL EGGS are back!

We’ve got a new source, so quail are now LOCALLY SOURCED from a FAMILY FARM. Individually frozen, so no more ‘bird clumps!

Quail is a great way of providing variety for your snake, cat, dog, or bird of prey!

Quail and quail eggs can be excellent additions to the diets of reptiles, dogs, and cats for several reasons:

  1. Nutritional Value: Quail and quail eggs are packed with essential nutrients that are beneficial for the health of pets. They are rich in protein, vitamins, and minerals such as B vitamins, iron, zinc, and selenium, which are important for maintaining energy levels, supporting muscle growth, and promoting overall wellbeing.
  2. Digestibility: Quail meat and eggs are easily digestible for pets, making them a suitable option for animals with sensitive stomachs or digestive issues. This digestibility can help prevent gastrointestinal upset and ensure that pets can efficiently absorb the nutrients they need from their food.
  3. High Protein Content: Protein is a crucial component of a pet’s diet, especially for carnivorous animals like reptiles, dogs, and cats. Quail meat and eggs are high in quality protein, which is essential for maintaining healthy muscles, supporting immune function, and promoting proper growth and development.
  4. Low Fat: Quail meat is relatively low in fat compared to other types of poultry, making it a suitable option for pets that require a lean diet or those prone to weight gain. Additionally, the fat content in quail eggs is also moderate, providing a balanced source of nutrition for pets.
  5. Variety: Offering a variety of protein sources in a pet’s diet can help prevent nutritional deficiencies and boredom with their food. Quail and quail eggs provide a novel protein option for pets, which can be especially beneficial for animals with food sensitivities or allergies.
  6. Natural Calcium Source: Quail eggs are an excellent source of calcium, which is essential for maintaining strong bones and teeth in pets. Providing calcium-rich foods like quail eggs can help support skeletal health and prevent conditions such as osteoporosis or bone deformities.
  7. Enrichment: Incorporating whole prey items like quail into a pet’s diet can offer mental and physical enrichment. For reptiles, the act of hunting and consuming prey items can simulate natural behaviors, while for dogs and cats, it can provide a satisfying chewing experience and mental stimulation.

When introducing quail or quail eggs into a pet’s diet, it’s important to do so gradually and monitor for any adverse reactions.
