-
Low-maintenance option — Once the culture is established, feeding and replenishing is often simpler than hunting or insect harvest.
Care / Use Tips:
-
Keep the culture at moderate room temperature (around 22-26 °C) and moderate humidity, out of direct sunlight. USMANTIS+1
-
When sufficient adult flies are present, tap or shake them gently into a feeding dish or into the target enclosure; remove uneaten flies after a short feeding window to avoid decay/odor.
-
For continuous supply: seed new containers weekly and maintain culture media and cleanliness to avoid mould or collapse. TC INSECTS+1
-
Always consider dusting with vitamin/calcium supplements when used for reptiles/amphibians, if appropriate.
